For surf casting for Striped bass on the coast of Maine - it is all I'll ever need. I've looked at the others and there are some other strong brands on the market but I'll only go Penn and the 750ss Spinfisher holds up well becasue... "I'm rough on things".

This reel had so many positive reviews that I decided to give it a go. I've now owned it for over a year and it has held up perfectly. The construction is solid, and the drag is silky smooth. It is a bit heavy but it's steel, so that shouldn't come as a surprise. My only complaint is that there is no line holder when I have it off of the rod, hence the 4 stars.
