This was my first baitcasting reel and I love it. It's been around 6months since I had it - works great for a beginner. I took 1 start off the rating because the reel is very easy to scratch. I never dropped my pole, but after I put it on the rocks while baiting up - the reel got scratched. Not a big deal tho. Good luck and tight lines!
