Customer Reviews

It's an awesome rod, great action and i love it. It has one drawback, the sections
keep coming apart on hard casting.--To correct the problem i had to glue two of the four sections together and make it a two piece rod. I would not trade this rod
for anything. Guy

this is a classic pack rod... the guides and wrapping were nicely done...
there is a hook keeper - a nice touch!
however, it is not as pictured on the product page, and instead of a silver/brass metal reel holder, you'll get a black plastic rail and plastic threaded rings - these do not have the lifespan of metal and will NOT last!
be aware of this issue - and frankly, considering the reasonable cost, it may not be a concern...
just don't crank down to tighten your reel or you will snap the rings...
the rod has a light action - a bit whippy w/some oscillation - i'd have to say the rod would best perform as a fly rod - especially for wet fly action
all in all, this is an OK rod and certainly fits the bill for travel or packing...
now to find a nice tube/carrier...
