After cleaning long guns with whatever I found in gun shops and big box stores, I broke down and spent a little more money for the Tipton rod this one is 27-45 caliber. It is "as advertised" smooth spinning and an extremely strong and flexible action. I would highly recommend buying this rod first, rather than working your way to this rod as I did.
This was ordered as a replacement for a rod with a broken tip. Although not indestructible, these rods enjoy the advantage of carbon fiber which reduces the possibility of damage to the bore which is present with all metal rods.
